Collect XL customers Rp 285 Million for Natural Disaster

Although only via SMS, but the XL customers can collect USD 285 million more for victims of natural disasters in Wasior, Mentawai, and Merapi. Distribution of donations to victims conducted in collaboration with three humanitarian agencies, namely the People Concerned Postal justice (PKPU, UNICEF, and Purse Amal SCTV in Jakarta, Wednesday (28 / 4) by VP Enterprise & Carrier XL, Titus Dondi to third representative institutions.

XL opens SMS Customer Donation to help every major natural disaster that struck the country. Since its opening in October-December 2010, nearly 100 thousand SMS has been signed from customers utilizing this program to channel donations for victims of the three above. XL then go guard the fund distribution to ensure customer / community targeted.

In addition, separately under corporate social responsibility program, XL also distribute corporate donations and employee donations to the three disasters since the first days after the disaster until the recovery phase. To Wasior, among others, build PKPU Training Center Service-based Mobile and can be followed by approximately 120 people from various elements of society (parents, teachers, village and students). Training will be conducted along the 6 months. Meanwhile, for the Mentawai, UNICEF is distributing donations in the form of 750 hygiene packets, 40 thousand bottles of water purification, 15 packets psychosocial, and 6 thousand emergency beds.

For Merapi, with a customer donation XL, Purse Amal SCTV, among others, greening in the vicinity of Glagaharjo Cangkringan Sleman (Yogyakarta) and Balerante, Klaten (Central Java) with a total of 25 thousand trees planted on 40 hectares of land to support 798 households. Donation of customers and employees is also used to create a pool of clean water, provision of agricultural equipment, fertilizers, as well as communication tools.
