Krakatau Steel was established on August 31, 1970 as a result of Indonesian Government Regulation No. 35 in the year 1970 regarding is equity establishment. The establishment of this steel industry was started by utilizing the left over machinery of the former Russian initiated Trikora Steel Project, mainly on cold wire drawing, bar mill, and section mill.

Today, Krakatau Steel is the largest integrated steel producer in Southeast Asia. The company is also a producer of sheet steel hot (HRC) and cold steel sheet (CRC), the largest in Indonesia, each with a domestic market share of 47% and 33%, and manufacturer of steel wire rods, the second largest in Indonesia, with 32% domestic market share. In terms of product specifictions, Krakatau Steel controlled about 85% of the total product absorbed by the domestic market.

The company has a combined maximum steel capacity of 2.45 million tons per year. Importing raw materials including iron ore from countries in South America and the Middle East. Krakatau Steel sells most of its products in Indonesia especially in Jakarta and Surabaya. Meanwhile, a fraction of its product has been consumed, among others, by Australia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, England and Vietnam.

PT PLN (Persero). Beginning in the late 19th century, the development of electricity in Indonesia was intensified in several Dutch Companies in sugar and tea plantation that developed power plant to meet their personal needs. Between 1942-1945, there was a great shift from these Dutch manufacturing companies by the Japanese after the Dutch surrendered to the Japanese army in the beginning of World War II.

The shift reoccurred at the end of World War II in August 1945 when the Japanese surrendered to the Allied Forces. This opportunity was taken over by the youths and electricity labourers through Labour/Employee Electricity and Gas delegation together with the Management of KNI Head Office to meet President Soekarno to ask the handover of the Companies to the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. On October 27, 1945, President Soekarno established Electricity and Gas Bureau under the Departement of Public Works and Energy with power plant capacity of 157.5 MW.

On January 1, 1961, Gas and Electricity Bureau was changed to BPU-PLN (Board of General Administration of the State Electricity Company) that focused on electricity, gas and coke sectors. On January 1, 1965 BPU-PLN was dismissed and 2 (two) state owned enterprises were formalised, namely Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), a state-owned electricity company, to manage electrity power and Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) to manage gas power.

In 1972, in accordance with Government Regulation No. 17, the State-owned Electricity Company was enacted as a State-owned General Electricity Company and as PKUK responsible to provide electricity to meet public needs. While the Government policy was giving opportunity to the Private Sectors to focus on the provision of electricity, the status of PLN was changed from a General Company to Corporation’ as well as PKUK in providing electricity for public needs until the present.

Collect XL customers Rp 285 Million for Natural Disaster

Although only via SMS, but the XL customers can collect USD 285 million more for victims of natural disasters in Wasior, Mentawai, and Merapi. Distribution of donations to victims conducted in collaboration with three humanitarian agencies, namely the People Concerned Postal justice (PKPU, UNICEF, and Purse Amal SCTV in Jakarta, Wednesday (28 / 4) by VP Enterprise & Carrier XL, Titus Dondi to third representative institutions.

"SMS Donation Program is part of XL's commitment to always sprightly ease the burden of disaster victims in Indonesia. What a coincidence, telecommunication services are very useful to support humanitarian programs, both to communicate, transmit information, as well as through SMS help collect donations, "said Titus.

Of the programs that start in the open in October 2010 - 31 December 2010, collected funds for Wasior each worth USD 60,598,866, Mentawai (USD 91,987,941), and Merapi (132,818,736). XL does not cut funds from the customer's dime. To handle all administration and ensure the smooth running of the department under the supervision of the Sales Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

* The Sales Administration attendant performs her duties within the framework defined by the chain and hotel norms and by international regulations as specified by the Sales Supervisor.
* Assist the Sales Supervisor in organizing the filing system of the Division / Department / Section.
* Ensure that the stock of stationery items are accounted for and well maintained.
